“I am doing this for my dad/mom/grama/family (to make them proud of me)”

This morning I was reviewing something in my head and the words I thought were “I want to do a good job for ______” … and I wonder where in our lives we have bought that story.  I watch cooking competitions on tv … and most of them want to make someone proud … and it is always someone other than self … interesting isn’t it?  
  
When in fact, I caught myself as I was in the middle of this thought and pulled it out for analyzing … why do I want to do a good job for another person?  Hmmmm … That’s an interesting concept!  Why not do a good job for me … Where am I not being the best that I can be … for ME? **mmm making thinking face**
 
So from today forward … actually from this moment on … I am being that which makes
‘me’ proud of the being I have become … I always do the best I can … but now the  difference is that I am shifting the power for me … no one else needed.  Now how does it get any better than this?  
 
Well here’s a follow up … after I had written this … this blog found me … and I feel it goes perfectly with today’s message. I am receiving many messages on so many levels … like when I googled something and did not find what I was looking for … **wink** … but I found exactly what I had been looking for … get it?  It’s not always as it seems … this is a perfect example.
