One of the first things to go was vinegar ... and after a bit of weeping because I love a good vinaigrette over my salad, I remembered that I can use half of a lemon ... throw in a little feta cheese and you've got some really good sour going on ... but I'm getting ahead of myself ...
I want to share a couple of recipes. The first is the basic recipe:
juice from half a lemon for one serving
olive oil, about the same amount as the juice
sea or himalayan salt
nutmeg
Love it like this ... until ....
I added half an avocado into the above mix. Just mush it up and stir until it all comes together nicely.
Number 1 ~ I just added another veggie to the salad
Number 2 ~ it creamed right up ...
So for all you "creamy dressing lovers", this just might be something you'd like ...
Now remember to use a fresh lemon as it creates an alkaline environment in your body, vs using juice out of a bottle or a plastic lemon, which is acidic in pH properties.
Just in time for the warmer months when salad is almost always on the menu ....
